Voiceover rates and payment terms explained!
Let me detail what exactly you will get when ordering from me. Figures are based on the UK market.
Basic Session Fee: £250.
This is what is included in the BSF:
Preparation and Script consultation before recording (if needed)
Studio Hire
Optional live-directed session via Cleanfeed, phone, skype etc.
A raw recording of the entire session or the raw recording of the final take if required.
Post-production services: A broadcast quality, fully edited and mastered copy of the final take in WAV, MP3 etc.
Audio delivered in 24 hours or less depending on your schedule.
Audio backups stored for 2 years
The BSF covers web/corporate/explainer videos and also anything non-broadcast.
However, if the voiceover is going to be used extensively online or broadcast an additional fee will be needed. This is called the usage fee.
Example: For TV content the size of the campaign (TVR’s) will be used to calculate the rate from https://www.usefee.tv/.
For E-Learning my rate is £0.15 per word. The minimum order amount is £200.
If your project doesn’t fit the above, a good guide I use is the rate card from Gravy For The Brain. Feel free to take a look for your reference but please do not hesitate to contact me for an exact quote.

Payment terms and conditions:
Once everything has been agreed upon and my services are officially hired, the agreed fee will be payable within 30 days of being invoiced via bank transfer. Payment via Paypal or other means must be agreed upon first. A 6% payment charge will be added if using Paypal to cover their fees.
Late payment:
If you think payment will take longer than 30 days, then this must be agreed upon beforehand. If the payment exceeds 30 days fees will be applied to the total as per the Late Payment of Commercial Debt Act of 2002.
Revisions:
If the session is self-produced i.e. you are not present during the recording, I will normally send you a sample for approval. Assuming the style and vision for your project have been agreed upon - If you are not 100% satisfied with the submitted recordings, I am happy to try again (depending on project length) until you are 100% happy.
If the project is very large, I will send you a sample for approval, and once approved, continue recording in the same manner.
For directed sessions i.e. where you are present for the recording and provided feedback, I will send you a copy of the entire session with all takes included. The session length and rate would have been agreed upon before starting. If the session exceeds the time limit then an extra charge will incur using my basic session fee as a guide. i.e 30 mins extra will equal £125 extra to the total.
Once you have agreed I will send you an invoice and the project will be considered completed. Any further changes, either to the script or project would be treated as a new order and billed accordingly.
